First Trip Report

We took our first flood relief trip to Fargo/Moorehead this weekend. We spent the weekend sandbagging, and getting some media.
Is this a lake? No, it is someone’s farm fields. This Video doesn’t even depict river flooding, This is just snowmelt. The ground will not absorb water. Not only is it saturated from rain last Autumn, but it is frozen as well.
This is a picture of a whirlpool caused by an flood culvert.
What you see here is not even a drop in the bucket. There is much more to come, and much more help needed.
The people in Cass and Clay counties need help with sandbagging. Many families are working with very little sleep to try and compensate for sudden shift in crest prediction. We will be trying to set up another caravan for the middle of this week. If you live in the Twin Cities, and wish to volunteer, let us know!
